I’ve worked for over 10 years supporting users of technology. In that time I’ve heard and seen every issue you can imagine. “My mouse doesn’t work well with the dust cover on” turned out to be the shipping bag. “Can you recommend a mouse pad that’s compatible with my computer?” I’ve seen power strips plugged into themselves and users trying to clear up a “can’t find printer” error by pointing the monitor at the printer. Yes, these are all true stories.
What I’ve learned is this, “That which is obvious is obvious only to those to whom it is obvious.” Or more simply stated, “Not everyone sees things the same way.” My job at Intereactive is to make sure the vision and ideas turn into very user friendly products. We want to ensure that everyone who visits your web site finds the information they need easily and that you, the client, can maintain the site with a simple intuitive interface.
